First things first, how did Social.com get started?

First registered in 1995, I created a site at Social.com called the Social Cafe which was a fun place with bulletin boards, cartoons, news and other stuff.

Do you remember the Cool Site of the Day? The Social Cafe made the cut on June 22, 1995. I maintained the Social Cafe on and off for a few years before retiring it.

Social.com was inactive for quite some time, but with a lot of encouragement from various people I'm focussed on developing Social.com into something truly great and useful.
